§ Mr. RichardsTo ask the Secretary of State for Wales what measures are being taken to attract outside investment into Clwyd.
§ Mr. David HuntConsiderable success continues to be achieved in attracting inward investment to Clwyd, and 47 projects were recorded in 1991–92 promising over 2,300 jobs. A wide range of measures will continue to be taken to build on that success, including the provision of industrial sites and infrastructure, and targeted approaches to companies. A conference on EC research and 471W development has been arranged to take place in Clwyd shortly which will help to focus interest in the county from other parts of Europe.
