HC Deb 06 November 1992 vol 213 cc448-9W
Mr. Jonathan Evans

To ask the Secretary of State for Health what is the current incidence of hydatid disease.

Mr. Sackville

Interim figures from the public health laboratory service indicate an average of five cases a year presumed to he acquired in England and Wales for the last three years—1988 to 1990—of its current survey into hydatid disease. This figure may be subject to amendment by the time the survey is completed at the end of this year. The final results of the survey will be published.
