§ Mr. Simon Coombs
To ask the Lord President of the Council when he expects to bring proposals for reform of parliamentary procedure before the House.

§ Mr. Newton
I informed the House during the debate on the report of the Select Committee on Sittings of the House on 13 July that I hoped to identify a basis of agreement for discussion through the usual channels, with the aim of being in a position to bring forward substantive motions at an early stage once the House returned.
That remains my intention.
