§ Mr. JackThe safer cities programme was originally intended to create 20 local projects, all of which have now been established. We remain committed to doubling the number of safer cities projects to 40, when circumstances and resources enable us to do so. At that time I will advise the hon. Member of the timetable and procedures which will be followed.
