To ask the Secretary of State for Wales what was the total amount spent on research and development by his Department in each of the last five years; and how much research and development money has been allocated to health and social care research in each instance.

costs for the year 1991–92 and the estimate for 1992–93 for Cadw: Welsh Historic Monuments. This is something which falls within the responsibilities he has delegated to me as Chief Executive of the Agency.
