HC Deb 04 November 1992 vol 213 c313W
Mr. Dalyell

To ask the President of the Board of Trade what assessment he has made of the effect of United Nations sanctions against Libya on British trade.

Mr. Needham

United Kingdom exports to Libya were just under £90 million from April—when limited sanctions came into force—to August 1992. It is impossible to say what additional trade might have occurred if United Nations sanctions had not been in force during that period.
