§ The Home Secretary has asked me to write to you in response to your Parliamentary Question about staff costs in the United Kingdom Passport Agency. I have set out below, as requested, our staff numbers by grade, their cost for 1991–92 and the comparable estimated figures for 1992–93. § The costs of employing these staff in 1991–92 amounted to £13,853,000 (salaries plus employers national insurance contributions). The costs of employing seasonal staff and overtime working amounted to a further £2,256,000.
