HC Deb 02 November 1992 vol 213 c80W
Mr. Michael J. Martin

To ask the Secretary of State for Scotland if he will make a statement regarding the future of Stobhill hospital as a provider of acute services.

Mr. Stewart

I am aware that Greater Glasgow is reviewing the pattern of acute services which can best meet the needs of its population in the future. Any resulting proposal for the closure of hospitals or for major changes in the existing pattern of services would have to be referred to the Secretary of State. No such proposals are currently before Ministers.
