What was the cost to public funds of the Birmingham Summit and what is the estimated cost for the forthcoming Edinburgh Summit.

The budget for the Birmingham European Council was set at £2– 987 million (excluding police costs). Several large suppliers, including BT, have yet to submit invoices but the final total is expected to be within the budget.

The current budget for the Edinburgh European Council (excluding police costs) is £6.445 million.
