Mr. Redmond

To ask the Parliamentary Secretary, Lord Chancellor's Department if he will list all the names of public appointments that he has made, giving the period for which the appointments were made, relevant qualifications of the appointees and what remuneration each currently receives.

Mr. John M. Taylor

The Lord Chancellor makes some 1,800 public appointments, excluding judicial appointments. Full details can be provided only at disproportionate cost but the table shows the public bodies to which he appoints and the number of appointees as at September 1992.
