§ Mr. Robin SquireIt is for individual local authorities to decide how to meet their statutory requirements. My right hon. Friend the Secretary of State intends to issue a descriptive list of functions conferred on local authorities by public general Acts to the Local Government Commission for its information once it has been set up. (There are also many local Acts conferring powers on local government which it would not be practicable to list.) A copy of the list will be placed in the Library of both Houses.
