§ Mr. Peter LloydWe shall be undertaking a general review of electoral law and procedures in the light of experience of the general election. This will include meetings with the main political parties and with the local authority associations. In addition, OPCS are currently carrying out research to assess the accuracy of the electoral register using sample information from the 1991 census. The conclusions of the review, together with the results of the research, will assist us in considering whether any changes may need to be made to arrangements for electoral registration.
