To ask the Secretary of State for Scotland how many attainers, whose 18th birthday falls during the period of the current electoral register, were eligible to vote in Scotland on 9 April; and how many of them cast their votes at the general election on that day.

The number of attainers in Scotland on the 1992 electoral register shown in the monitor EL 92/1 published by the Office of Population Censuses and Statistics on 2 April is 47,732. Information about how many of them were eligible to vote and actually cast their vote on 9 April is not held centrally.
