§ Sir Thomas ArnoldTo ask the Secretary of State for the Home Department what definitive guidance he gives to local authorities and police authorities arising from the recommendations of the Taylor report.
§ Mr. Charles WardleHitherto, guidance has been given by means of Home Office circulars and, in the case of sports ground safety, in the Home Office guide to safety at sports grounds known as the green guide, the latest version of which was published in November 1990 to take account of the Taylor recommendations.
With matters concerning safety at sports grounds presently being transferred to the Department of National Heritage, responsibility for providing future guidance will also pass to that Department.
