§ Baroness Chalker of WallaseyDetails of all grants to UK NGOs for relief and development work in each of the three financial years to 1990/91 are set out below. Similar details for the financial year 1991/92 are not yet available and the nature of the funding is such that it would be inappropriate to offer an anticipated total. Information as to the percentage of each NGO's total income these funds represent is not readily available to HMG. In aggregate these grants represented, in 1988/89, 4.3 per cent., in 1989/90, 4.1 per cent., and in 1990/91, 5.2 per cent. of the total aid budget.
I will publish similar details for the year 1991/92 when full figures are available.
