§ Mr. Kenneth CarlisleForte restaurants have responded to the consultation document. Their comments are now being considered along with the replies we have received from some 200 other consultees.
The chief executive of the company informed my right hon. Friend the Secretary of State for Transport on 6 March that he was postponing further work on construction of the M11 service area at Birchanger until future policy on motorway service areas is clarified following the consultation exercise.
