§ Mr. YeoSecure units may accommodate all children being looked after by local authorities, including those on remand. Two new secure units, providing a total net increase of 14 places to meet current demand, open this year. Plans to meet the additional demand required to implement section 60 of the Criminal Justice Act 1991 are being considered by a juvenile remand national steering group.
