§ Mr. HinchliffeTo ask the Minister of Agriculture, Fisheries and Food if he will list those species of mammals to which attempts have been made to transfer bovine spongiform encephalopathy which have so far been unsuccessful.
§ Mr. SoamesExperimental transmission of BSE has been attempted to the following species of mammal: Mice, cattle, sheep, goats, pigs marmosets, hamsters and mink.
Of these, hamsters and mink have not succumbed to a spongiform encephalopathy. The mink experiment is incomplete.
