To ask the Secretary of State for the Environment if he will list those Government Ministers who have a car allocated to them under the secure car scheme.

All Ministers are eligible for a car and driver from the Government car scheme.

To ask the Secretary of State for the Environment what was the total cost of providing the secure car service in each of the last two financial years; and how many vehicles were involved.

The total costs of providing the GCS ministerial and pool fleet for the two years in question were:

1991–92	6.6

The fleet numbered 174 vehicles in 1990–91 and 176 vehicles in 1991–92.
