To ask the Secretary of State for the Environment what plans he has to review the scope of the Housing Defects Act 1984.

Mr. Baldry

The housing defects scheme of assistance was the subject of an efficiency scrutiny report published in November 1991. We have no plans to carry out any further review of the legislation.
