§ Mr. JannerTo ask the Minister of Agriculture, Fisheries and Food when his Ministry last conducted a survey of the ethnic origin of its employees; when it next plans to do so; and whether he will make a statement.
§ Mr. CurryThe Department completed its survey of the ethnic origin of staff in 1987 and keeps this up to date with information on new staff and leavers. Over 92 per cent. of staff have volunteered information on their ethnic origin. The Department is fully committed to the programme for action to achieve equality of opportunity in the civil service for people of ethnic minority origin.
