To ask the Attorney-General if he will make a statement on his responsibilities in relation to extradition.

The Attorney-General

My right hon. and learned Friend the Home Secretary has responsibility for the law and practice relating to extradition.

I myself conduct certain communications on behalf of the United Kingdom with the Attorney-General of the Republic of Ireland concerning the return of alleged offenders from the republic under the backing of warrants arrangements.
