§ Lord James Douglas-HamiltonMy right hon. Friend has welcomed and accepted the recommendations made by the Scottish Law Commission in its Report on the Effect of Death on Damages (Scottish Law Commission No. 134). We hope that it will prove possible for a private Member to bring forward a Bill to give effect to the Commission's recommendations early in the current Parliament.
