§ Mr. Ron DaviesTo ask the Minister of Agriculture, Fisheries and Food what regulations exist(a) governing the disposal of mink and fox carcases and (b) regarding the use of mink and fox carcases in pet food.
§ Mr. MacleanThe disposal of mink and fox carcases is controlled under part IV of the Agriculture Act of 1970, the Meat (Sterilisation and Staining) Regulations 1982, and the Processed Animal Protein Order 1989. If they were to be used in pet food these same safeguards would apply.
