§ Ms. RuddockTo ask the Secretary of State for Transport what transport measures he intends to pursue with the European Commission and Parliament during the United Kingdom presidency of the European Community Council of Ministers and the United Kingdom chairmanship of the European Council of Transport Ministers.
§ Mr. McLoughlinOur top priority during the United Kingdom presidency will be the transport measures necessary to complete the single market. We also expect to deal with transport infrastructure issues; transport external relations; and transport and the environment. Those are the issues which we intend to pursue with the European Commission and Parliament.
