HL Deb 11 March 1992 vol 536 c60WA
Lord Sefton of Garston

asked Her Majesty's Government:

Whether they have acquired the building at Vauxhall Cross adjacent to Vauxhall Bridge; and, if so, whether they will give details of the purchase and of the use to which it will be put.

The Minister of State, Department of the Environment (Baroness Blatch)

The Vauxhall Cross site and building were purchased by the Property Services Agency from the developers (Regalian plc) in 1989. The cost of the site and construction is estimated to be in the region of £150 million. The building is for the Foreign and Commonwealth Office.
