HC Deb 09 March 1992 vol 205 c403W
21. Mr. Winnick

To ask the Secretary of State for Transport what financial arrangements are being made with the transport authorities in the west midlands to ensure that pensioners can continue to use their travel concessions at all times of the day and without additional costs to them.

Mr. McLoughlin

The responsibility for concessionary fares schemes in the west midlands lies entirely with the passenger transport authority and the district councils. It is for them to decide what level of concessions is appropriate in relation to other local spending priorities.
