Friend the Secretary of State for Health has established a national steering group, with representatives from central Government, the local authority associations, the police, the probation service, the Crown prosecution service and voluntary organisations to plan the provision of secure accommodation to replace prison custody for remanded juveniles. We are anxious that the work should be concluded as quickly as possible.
