§ Mr. Douglas HoggSecurity Council resolution 690 (1991) approved the establishment of a United Nations mission for the referendum in the western Sahara (MINURSO). We have contributed towards the cost of MINURSO and provided 15 military observers. We continue to give the Secretary-General our full support in seeking an early settlement of the western Sahara dispute.
