§ Mr. McLoughlinIn the past few days we have received correspondence drawing attention to the effect of British Midland's recent decision to end its service between Liverpool and Heathrow. That decision was one for the commercial judgment of the private sector airline concerned. The operation and marketing of Liverpool airport, to encourage airlines to provide services appropriate to meet demand, is a matter for its management.
