However, the number of libraries open in English counties for over 10 hours a week has increased in the last 10 years by 3.6 per cent. and those open for 10 to 44 hours a week have increased by 4.3 per cent. in some cases, opening hours have been changed to reflect changing needs and also to make better use of resources.
