§ Mr. CoxTo ask the Secretary of State for Foreign and Commonwealth Affairs what discussions he has had, and with whom, as to the opening up of Famagusta as an open town under United Nations auspices; and if he will make a statement.
§ Mr. Garel-JonesVarosha will be a key element in any settlement of the intercommunal dispute in Cyprus. All parties to the dispute are well aware of our strong view that there should be no change in the status of Varosha nor any settlement of the area in contravention of United Nations Security Council resolution 550 of 11 May 1984.
