§ Mr. MichaelTo ask the Secretary of State for Trade and Industry if he will make it his policy that the proposal that all new electrical appliances can be sold only with a128W pre-fitted plug will be implemented in such a way as to ensure that all pre-fitted plugs meet the requirements of disabled people, including people with wasting of the muscles and other difficulties in manipulating appliances.
§ Mr. LeighThe proposed regulations will allow suppliers of domestic electrical appliances to fit plugs that are suitable for use by the disabled.
