§ Mr. Kenneth ClarkeThe latest figures available show that 150 staff in grades 1 to 7 are women: this represents some 20 per cent. In the unified grades 24 per cent. of staff at grade 3, 21 per cent. at grade 5, 10 per cent. at grade 6 and 22 per cent. at grade 7 are women. There are no women in grades 1, 2 or 4. In the Home Office as a whole some 26 per cent. of staff are women.
