§ Mr. Peter LloydThe White Paper "Custody, Care and Justice, The Way Ahead for the Prison Service in England and Wales" announced that carefully monitored experiments would be held in a small number of prisons to help determine whether and under what conditions there might be opportunities for televisions in cells.
The television licensing requirements is one of the issues currently being considered.
