§ Mr. VazTo ask the Secretary of State for National Heritage what proposals he intends to publish concerning a statutory press complaints commission.
§ Mr. MellorThe Government have made it clear that they intend to review the effectiveness of press self-regulation over the period from 1 January 1991 to 30 June 1992. The proposals and the form of their publication will be decided in the light of that review. I shall make a further announcement about the nature of the review shortly.
