§ Mr. SainsburyI represented the United Kingdom at the informal meeting of EC Regional Policy Ministers which took place in Lisbon on 15 and 16 May. As this was an informal meeting, no decisions were taken. Discussion concentrated on a number of issues which will be central to the review of the structural funds regulations—due to take place by the end of 1993—notably the simplification of administrative procedures and the application of the principles of programming, partnership and subsidiarity.
