§ Mr. AitkenBrigadier Cowgill saw a number of open files from the Public Record Office in the Ministry of Defence. He also saw in the Ministry of Defence several open microfilms of allied documents from the national archives in Washington which that archive had sent to the Ministry of Defence for its permission for their release, as is the normal practice.
