asked Her Majesty's Government:

What agreements they concluded with the government of the Republic of Lithuania following the recent meeting between the Secretary of State for Defence and the Lithuanian Minister of National Defence, Audreus Butkevicius.

Mr. Butkevicius visited the Ministry of Defence on 27th April, to discuss topics of mutual interest with the Secretary of State, the Minister of State for the Armed Forces and senior officials of the department. Although no formal agreements were concluded as a result of this meeting, it was nevertheless a valuable contribution to the development of friendly relations with newly-independent Lithuania.
