§ Mr. Archie HamiltonThe Commander in Chief, Fleet has kept me fully informed of the reasons for and circumstances leading to the court martial of Lieutenant Commander Peter McDonnell. Both the verdict and the sentence are subject to review and Lieutenant Commander McDonnell has the right to appeal.
The Commander in Chief will also be fully reviewing the proceedings of the court martial to decide what further action, if any, might be appropriate.
