§ Mr. SpearingTo ask the Secretary of State for the Environment what is the approximate percentage of potable public water supplies in England and Wales leaving service reservoirs which is used for(a) industrial or manufacturing processes, (b) non-domestic cleaning, (c) personal washing and domestic cleansing, including clothes, (d) domestic and public water closets, (e) garden watering, (f) wastage and (g) any other major category of use.
§ Mr. MacleanWe shall include the best obtainable information on the subject in the consultation paper on water conservation which my right hon. Friend has said he will publish shortly. The statistics readily available do not. use the same set of categories as the hon. Member has listed.
