§ Mr. RedmondTo ask the Secretary of State for Transport if the Health and Safety Executive will take action against the current and past chairmen and executive directors of British Rail in respect of causing the deaths of passengers by their neglect in respect of design and maintenance of carriage doors.
§ Mr. FreemanThe Health and Safety Executive has not yet completed its full report. I expect the Health and Safety Commission to submit the report to the Secretary of State with its advice later in the summer. It is for the executive to consider what further action may be appropriate.
