To ask the Chancellor of the Exchequer if he will increase the interest paid to premium bond holders over the next three years.

Mr. Nelson

The general level of interest rates has fallen substantially over the last 18 months. Against that background, I have no plans to increase the rate of interest used for the premium bond prize fund.
