§ Mr. Kenneth CarlisleCumbria county council's transport policies and programme document for 1992–93 published in 1991 shows that on the trunk road between Grizebeck service station and Broughton in Furness the annual average daily traffic is 5,500 with 5 per cent. being heavy goods vehicles. Comparable figures for the local road between Grizebeck service station and Soutergate are 4,600 and 8 per cent.
