§ Mr. FlynnTo ask the Secretary of State for the Environment what is Her Majesty's Government's strategy to reduce concentrations of greenhouse gases in the atmosphere.
§ Mr. MacleanThe United Kingdom supports the ultimate objective of the framework convention on climate change which is to achieve stabilisation of greenhouse gas concentrations in the atmosphere at a level that would prevent dangerous anthropogenic interference with the 667W climate system. The commitments in the convention on limiting greenhouse gas emissions would be an important first step towards this objective.
