§ Mr. ButcherTo ask the Secretary of State for Social Security if he will undertake a survey to discover the number of people who are in receipt of respite care.
§ Mr. BurtI refer my hon. Friend to my reply to him on 15 May at columns223–24. As no distinction is made in the level of income support paid between temporary and permanent residence in a residential care or nursing home, there would be no advantage for social security purposes in collecting such data and it would not justify the cost involved.
