§ Mr. Douglas HoggWe deplore all acts of violence in Croatia, particularly those which contravene agreements with the UN. It is an essential part of the agreement covering the deployment of the UN protection force that the JNA should withdraw from the protected areas. We are scrutinising the new legislation passed on 8 May to ascertain whether it provides the necessary guarantees for minorities.
