§ Mr. Peter BottomleyTo ask the Secretary of State for Health, pursuant to her answer of 12 May,Official Report, column 84, (1) when she expects to have information or indications on the proportions of smokers in the United Kingdom and in each other European Community country later then the 1989 figures in the British Medical Journal;
(2) what information she receives from the European Commission on the trends in smoking in each or any parts of the European Community.
§ Dr. Mawhinney[pursuant to his reply 21 May 1992 col. 228]: the figure given for smoking prevalance in the United Kingdom for 1990 should have been 30 per cent. rather than 39 per cent.
