HC Deb 02 June 1992 vol 208 c498W
Mr. Barry field

To ask the President of the Board of Trade if he will list those inhabited offshore islands within the United Kingdom taxation regime that do not have assisted area status.

Mr. Sainsbury

There are a number of inhabited offshore islands that are subject to the United Kingdom tax regime but which do not have assisted area status, including the Isle of Wight in England and the Orkney and Shetland islands, Islay, Jura, Colonsay and Mull in Scotland.
