To ask the Secretary of State for Employment how many persons are registered as available for work in the SW9 postal code area of London; and how many are currently registered as unemployed.

In April 1992, on the unadjusted basis, the number of claimants unemployed in the SW9 postal code area was 1,027.

This monthly unemployment count relates to claimants of benefits at unemployment benefit offices on the day of the count. Claimants include those people who claim unemployment benefit, income support or national insurance credits and who state that they are available for, and actively seeking, work.
